Dock Associate

Job Description of Dock Associate:

Managing the loading and unloading of freight from trucks, sorting goods, and making sure shipments are handled correctly are the main duties of a FedEx Dock Associate.Physical endurance, meticulousness, and the capacity to operate in a fast-paced setting are necessary for this position. To transport freight effectively and safely, you will need to operate equipment like forklifts.

Responsibilities of Dock Associate:

• Handle the transfer of goods from vehicles by employing the right equipment
• Ensure the dock area remains organized, safe, and free of clutter.
• Follow all safety regulations and protocols diligently to enhance the protection of individuals and property.
• Inspect the shipment for any signs of damage and promptly inform authorities of any variances or concerns observed.
• Maintain clear and productive communication with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient collaboration.

Requirements of Dock Associate:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in dock work, warehouse operations
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours
