Job Description for Loading Dock Technician:

As a Loading Dock Technician at FedEx, your primary responsibility will be managing the loading and unloading of freight from trucks, sorting items, and ensuring that shipments are handled correctly.This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will need to operate machinery, such as forklifts, to move freight safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities for Loading Dock Technician:

• Employ proper equipment for the loading and unloading of cargo from vehicles
• Keep the dock area clean, safe, and properly arranged.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety measures and rules to avoid any incidents or physical damage.
• Inspect the shipment for any signs of damage and promptly inform authorities of any variances or concerns observed.
• Foster strong and open lines of communication with both colleagues and managers to support a positive work environment.

Requirements for Loading Dock Technician:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in dock work, warehouse operations
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours
