Freight Loader

Job Description for Freight Loader:

As a Freight Loader at FedEx, your primary responsibility will be managing the loading and unloading of freight from trucks, sorting items, and ensuring that shipments are handled correctly.This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will need to operate machinery, such as forklifts, to move freight safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities for Freight Loader:

• Utilize the correct tools for transferring freight on and off trucks and trailers
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and order in the dock area.
• Comply with safety procedures and guidelines meticulously to reduce the chances of accidents and ensure personal safety.
• Assess the cargo for any possible damage and promptly alert relevant parties of any inconsistencies or concerns observed.
• Implement clear and concise communication techniques with team members and supervisors to streamline processes and achieve common goals.

Requirements for Freight Loader:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in dock work, warehouse operations
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours
