Job Description of Dock Operations Technician:

As a Dock Operations Technician at FedEx, your primary responsibility will be managing the loading and unloading of freight from trucks, sorting items, and ensuring that shipments are handled correctly.This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will need to operate machinery, such as forklifts, to move freight safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities of Dock Operations Technician:

• Load and unload freight from trucks and trailers using appropriate equipment
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized dock area.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Verify freight for damage and report discrepancies or issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Requirements of Dock Operations Technician:

• It is preferred that candidates have completed high school or an equivalent.
• Past involvement in dock-related tasks and warehouse duties
• Vigilant attention to particulars and exceptional organizational talents.
• Should be open to working varied hours as necessary
