Job Description of Dock Unloader:

Managing the loading and unloading of freight from trucks, sorting goods, and making sure shipments are handled correctly are the main duties of a FedEx Dock Unloader.Physical endurance, meticulousness, and the capacity to operate in a fast-paced setting are necessary for this position. To transport freight effectively and safely, you will need to operate equipment like forklifts.

Responsibilities of Dock Unloader:

• Employ the right machinery to transfer cargo to and from trucks and trailers
• Maintain a tidy, secure, and structured dock area.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety procedures and guidelines to reduce the risk of accidents and injuries effectively.
• Inspect the shipment for any signs of damage and immediately notify appropriate personnel of any variances or issues noticed.
• Implement clear and concise communication techniques with team members and supervisors to streamline processes and achieve common goals.

Requirements of Dock Unloader:

• A high school diploma or its equivalent is the preferred educational background.
• Has worked in dock operations and warehouse management before
• Excellent focus on specifics and adept organizational abilities.
• Should possess the capacity to accommodate varying work schedules
