Job Description of Dock Freight Coordinator:

Managing the loading and unloading of freight from trucks, sorting goods, and making sure shipments are handled correctly are the main duties of a FedEx Dock Freight Coordinator.Physical endurance, meticulousness, and the capacity to operate in a fast-paced setting are necessary for this position. To transport freight effectively and safely, you will need to operate equipment like forklifts.

Responsibilities of Dock Freight Coordinator:

• Employ the right machinery to transfer cargo to and from trucks and trailers
• Ensure the dock space is tidy, secure, and systematically arranged.
• Comply with safety procedures and guidelines meticulously to reduce the chances of accidents and ensure personal safety.
• Evaluate the freight for any potential harm and expeditiously communicate any variances or problems identified.
• Develop strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and supervisors, enhancing overall efficiency and workflow.

Requirements of Dock Freight Coordinator:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in dock work, warehouse operations
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours
