Forklift Driver

Job Description of Forklift Driver:

The Forklift Driver at FedEx is responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, load, and unload heavy items and pallets within the warehouse. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, the ability to operate machinery safely, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Your duties will include transporting materials to and from storage areas, ensuring that items are stored safely and efficiently, and assisting with inventory management. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities of Forklift Driver:

• Complete daily safety evaluations on forklifts and inform appropriate personnel of any malfunctions or repairs needed.
• Place heavy items such as crates and pallets onto trucks, shelves, or storage areas as required.
• Neatly organize goods in storage locations to maximize capacity and promote a sense of tidiness
• Acknowledge and document products that have been compromised or improperly dispatched.
• Support overall warehouse operations when not engaged in forklift activities.
